Last summer, one of BAG Corp’s customers, 8Rivers Safe Development, found an innovative and environmentally friendly use for our traditional Super Sacks.
Over 20 years ago, in eastern West Virginia, bat caves had been contaminated with trash and toxins. Mr. George Phillips and his crew worked to remove the trash, and this is what he had to say about the work and the effectiveness of the Super Sacks:
“We worked 3-4 weekends this summer and removed ~600 lbs of trash - mostly metal, plastic, glass…There is at least as much trash left as we have removed an possibly more - it's hard to tell how deep the trash it but I suspect a few more trips and we'll be done…The bags worked great. We hand loaded heavy-duty garbage bags with the trash and then placed the garbage bags in the Super Sacks and hauled them up out of the 40 ft pit with a tram/pulley system. The bags have held up excellent -and very tough service - lots of sharp metal, wire and the bags sometimes got hung up on the wall of the pit when we were hauling up - NO HOLES in the bags!!”
