Shipping cost have been on the rise in in 2021 with no sign of slowing down. COVID-19 has displaced shipping containers around the globe and as the economy recovers import demand is clogging up major U.S. on every coast.
At BAG Corp. we are keeping an eye on this situation. In recent months we have seen rates climb from $9,000 per 40ft container to $12,000 this month from the ISC region to the United States and Canada. We are also seeing storage charges due to lack of chassis and truck drivers being available to pick up containers and transport them to their final destination.
